Textual is a conceptual messaging app that bridges the gap between texting and human connection. Inspired by the Communication Manifesto, the app explores how Millennials and Gen Z favor texting over calling but often miss the emotional depth that face-to-face interaction provides.

Research
Research shows that 75% of Millennials prefer texting over calling, with this preference increasing after the pandemic, as 61% of consumers text more now than before. Studies also highlight that students spend an average of 94.6 minutes daily texting, and even adults aged 18-34 are highly reliant on it. Sherry Turkle’s TED talk further underscores this shirt, revealing that young people struggle with face-to-face conversations, emphasizing the need for more humanized digital communication
